Codex VPN is a privacy-first VPN service. We believe your online activity is YOUR business, not ours.

This privacy policy explains exactly what we do (and don't) collect.

Codex VPN enforces a strict NO-LOG policy. We do NOT collect or store:

❌ Your real IP address

❌ Websites you visit

❌ DNS queries

❌ Connection timestamps

❌ Bandwidth usage per session

❌ Traffic content or metadata

❌ Individual user activity logs

We cannot provide this data to anyone because WE DON'T HAVE IT.

To provide our service and prevent abuse, we collect minimal data:

✅ Device Identifier: Anonymous ID for multi-device management (not linked to your identity)

✅ Premium Status: Whether you have an active subscription

✅ Aggregate Metrics: Total active connections (no individual tracking)

✅ Crash Reports: Anonymous error logs to fix bugs

💳 Payment Processing:

• Google Play Billing processes your payments

• We receive only: subscription status and expiry date

• We NEVER see your credit card details

Codex VPN allows:

• Free users: 1 device

• Premium users: 5 devices

To enforce device limits, we use:

• Device IDs: Stored temporarily in RAM (not on disk)

• Purchase Token Hash: For premium users (tied to Google Play account)

These identifiers are NOT linked to your browsing activity and are automatically deleted when you disconnect.

We keep data for the MINIMUM time necessary:

• Connection Sessions: Stored in RAM only, deleted immediately on disconnect

• Device IDs: Deleted after 5 minutes of inactivity (grace period)

• Server Logs: Kept for 7 days for debugging (NO IP addresses or user activities)

• Crash Reports: Retained until issue is resolved, then deleted

We NEVER store any data on disk that could identify you or your activity.

We protect your data with industry-leading security:

• TLS 1.3 encryption for all connections

• AES-256-GCM encryption for VPN tunnel

• QUIC protocol

• No data stored on disk (RAM-only sessions)

• Regular security audits

• Secure server infrastructure

Even if our servers were compromised, attackers would find NO user activity data.

Codex VPN uses these third-party services:

📱 Google Play Services:

• App distribution and updates

• In-app purchases (subscription management)

• Shows ads to support free service

• Limited tracking for ad personalization

• You can disable personalized ads in Android settings

⚠️ Important: These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them.

Under GDPR and data protection laws, you have rights regarding your personal data.

🔍 What data do we actually have?

Practically NOTHING! Our servers store session data only in RAM (deleted on disconnect). We have NO persistent user accounts or databases.

✅ What you CAN do:

• Cancel Subscription: Unsubscribe directly through Google Play

• Stop Using Service: Simply disconnect and uninstall the app

• Request Data Deletion: Email [email protected] (though there's no data to delete)

❌ What doesn't apply (because we have no data):

• "Download your data" - We don't store any user data

• "Correct inaccurate data" - No user profile exists

• "Opt-out of analytics" - We don't track user analytics

Thanks to our NO-LOG policy, we have minimal data to share:

✅ If we receive a legal request, we can ONLY provide:

• Subscription status (active/inactive)

• Subscription start/end dates

• Payment method type (Google Play)

❌ We CANNOT provide (because we don't have it):

• Your browsing history

• Connection logs

• IP addresses

• DNS queries

• Traffic data

📊 Transparency: We will publish an annual transparency report showing the number of legal requests received.

The Codex VPN app:

✅ Does NOT use advertising cookies

✅ Does NOT use third-party tracking tools

✅ Does NOT track your location

✅ Only collects anonymous crash reports (optional, can be disabled)

You can disable crash reporting in: Settings → Privacy → Crash Reports

Codex VPN is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If you believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do:

• You'll see a notification in the app

• The "Last Updated" date at the top will change

• Material changes will require your consent

Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the new policy.
